Edmundo Matarazzo, Anatel?s head of universal access, said Wednesday, August 20, that the field audit of Brasil Telecom?s target fulfillment is complete. The regulator?s inspectors have sent in all their reports and consolidation of the information will take three to four more weeks, he said. Mr Matarazzo was speaking at a seminar on ?Competitiveness Scenarios in Internet Business? in São Paulo.
Anatel?s board will receive the final report some time before the end of next month and will then decide whether to certify BrT for target fulfillment, he said, adding that Embratel?s lawsuit and complaint to Anatel alleging irregularities by its competitor haven?t had any impact on the audit so far.
