BCP?s 34 creditor banks, which have acquired equity in the A-band mobile carrier for metropolitan São Paulo since it defaulted on its debts, still haven?t decided exactly how to restructure the company and prepare it for sale. This is believed to be one of the reasons for the lack of movement on a deal.
As reported by TELETIME News, last week a director of one of the creditor banks was consulted by an executive of Telecom Americas, a potential buyer for BCP, on the progress being made toward an agreement with the telco?s controlling shareholders.
