AT&T Latin America (ATTL) will start receiving letters of intent from prospective buyers this month. According to management, the fact that the company filed for protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of U.S. bankruptcy law on Monday, April 14, won?t interfere in any way with the plan to find a buyer. Nor has a deadline been set for the transaction to close. Fifteen companies including banks and telecoms operators have expressed in interest in acquiring ATTL and have access to the online data room.
