Anatel?s authorizations for TVA (Comercial Cabo TV São Paulo) to offer local and long-distance telephone services were finally published in the Federal Register (Diário Oficial) on Tuesday, February 11, two months after they were effectively granted. The permits have no set term and cover local, domestic long-distance and international services in the numbering areas corresponding to metropolitan São Paulo (11), Rio (21), Curitiba (41) and Porto Alegre (51). TVA has MMDS licenses for all these areas. In the case of São Paulo and Curitiba, it also has cable networks. It is required to start commercial delivery within 12 months. Anatel has also authorized Primeira Escolha to offer fixed-line telephony anywhere in São Paulo State.
