Embratel filed Tuesday, July 2, for another injunction to stay Anatel?s authorization allowing Telefonica to start delivering domestic long-distance service. The application will be judged by the 15th Civil Court in São Paulo, where Judge Luciana da Costa Aguiar earlier awarded a stay in an unfair trading case that?s awaiting a full hearing by the third panel of the Federal Regional Court for the Third District (TRF3). Judge Aguiar scheduled a ruling for Thursday afternoon. Anatel and Telefonica are also awaiting a decision on their application to have the original injunction discharged.
