Metrophone sells licenses to Nextel
quinta-feira, 08 de Maio de 2003 , 17h15 | POR REDAÇÃO

Mcom Wireless, the parent of Metrophone, a trunking operator that shut its doors about two years ago, held a shareholder meeting Wednesday, April 30, to approve "the sale of frequencies and channels in São Paulo State to Nextel", according to a notice filed with CVM, the securities regulator. Metrophone lost its ability to compete in this market when its partner Ericsson stopped producing trunking equipment. Motorola's technology is exclusive to Nextel in Brazil.
