In line with the increasing trend to outsource telecoms network maintenance in Brazil, Siemens has signed a contract with CTBC Telecom to provide specialized technical support for 12 months, with a renewal option. The contract covers all Siemens switches, optics and microwave transmission equipment, equivalent to about half the entire CTBC network. Siemens already provides such services to Telemar, AT&T Latin America and BCP. No financial details have been disclosed.
