Investment in infrastructure and sales will return to normal, TIM announced Thursday, August 29, almost a month after declaring a halt to activities while awaiting a solution to allow operations to begin. Thanks to the transfer of part of Telecom Italia?s stake in Brasil Telecom to Opportunity, TIM is now confident that Anatel will give it the green light to begin selling GSM handsets in Brazil. It plans to start delivering PCS service simultaneously in 16 states. When these are added to areas covered by its existing TDMA network, TIM will be operating nationwide.
